1.) the mindset that mostly would suit me would be a bit of both actually. The growth mindset would suit me at times because at times I just want to learn more and comprehend more things while I am learning. Like for instance on tests when we get it back I try to learn my mistakes from it and try to never make those type of mistakes from it so that would make me a growth mindset at times. But at the beginning I sort of felt that I was also a fixed mindset. I fell that I am like that at times when it comes to my homework because there are problems that if they seem really difficult I just give up and don't try at all and avoid it and move on. so in a way take the blogs for example I try to avoid them as much as possible so that would make me a fixed mindset but in a way I want to change that, but so far it is hard to change old habits. but overall I think that I have more of a fixed mindset than a growth one.
2.) well having a fixed mindset has really hurt me because well I don't try as hard which shows up in my grade and well i give up half way. It is mot something I am proud of but at times I think "why bother" so that takes away my motivation at times and don't even get half way at times. but later on the growth mindset kicks in and i try to finish at times. I guess in tests it has helped me because I try to not to leave any answer blank also I accept what I did wrong and try not to repeat the step but since I have more of a fixed mindset it has really hurt me more than benefit me.
3.) The way I reacted was a bit surprised because no one has ever said that about the brain and well that sort of surprised me. Like there are lessons to help out the subject that you are trying to learn but never have I heard lessons to excercise your brain.
4.) By reading this I have learned that change is possible to cahnge the way I think and if I do continue Calculus I hope that it will change along the way because it seems that it is a lot more beneficial to have a growth mindset than a fixed one. And next time I get stuck on a problem I'll remind myself that I have to get that i can always finish even if my mind tells me that it is relly difficult.

colleges
one of the major i chose is Environmental Design in this major we learn to design landscapes for places inside and outside of a home and for public places like parks in this field you get to learn interior design and architecture, landscape architecture, and urban planning. i like this major because it involves getting created. the other major i chose Photography Of course, you’ll spend much of your time practicing the art of photography. in this major i get let to learn how to use a camera and lighting to use in my advantage, and how to tell story within a picture. also the basics of composition, color balance. i aslo need to learn how to use a darkroom. the last major i chose is School Psychology
i'll learn counseling techniques to treat students with problems in thier everyday lives.
the colleges i learned about is cornell universtiy here this scholl is very into the sciences and is also located in new york this scholl seems like a warm and welcoming community and seems very pretty sue to the landscape and offers many courses in biology because since i also want to be a doctor i seems to me that this university will be a good place to go no matter what major i want to be
another is UCdavis this school has been specialized to train in medicine and i would like to go there because of what i want to be and hopefully i might be able to go.
also CSUN this school offers many majors and even the ones i have chosen and is not so far away and since i have visisited the campus this school is really nice and the community there is very welcoming as well.

tips and hints
1.)Well from what i remember of transformations is that there is always a parent function to use and that when a function is transformed it is the same thing except that it just moves around and depending where it needs to go. if it is f(x) + a number, the parent function will shift up or down depending what number is used if it is negative it shifts down and if is positive it shifts up. For example f(x) + 3 the parent function will shift three units upward and that would be its transformation. Another way the graphs shift is by moving sideways and is done so by f(x+ a number) this way the graph shifts along the x-axis. another example F(X-5) the parent function will shift five units to the right and that will be the new graph.
2.) things that helped me remember trig. was rewritng the unit circle over and over until i coluld remember everything on it also having my sister test me by saying them outloud and having me respond back and she would tell me how many i got wrong or right after she finished testing me on it. i also rember that x is cosine and that y is sine. i also remember a bit about the basics of inverses and how that all inverses and the parent function are symetrical along the y=x line.
3.) things that still confuse me are remembering certain equations csc, cot, sec. also arc tan still confuses me other than that that is just about it and also the last thing that confuses me is how to fing certain inverses.

even and odd functions
o beginn with an even function is symmetric along the y axis if you fold the plot over along the y axis. so meaning that in one quadrant the function sets itself up in the sme way along the y axis. And when plugging negative numbers into the funtion of the value is the same as that at the corresponding positive value: f(-x) = f(x). also even powers are most likey o be used and thus when using negative number when using even powers it will result in a positive number
as seen on the graph no mater what number is plugged in the function will be reflected on the quadrent the is next to it.
in odd functions the oppisite is shown An odd function is one where the symmetry is one of inversion at the origin. Any point in the top right quadrant maps onto one at the bottom thus proving an odd function f(-x) = -f(x). and commonly uses odd powers

MEEZZ!!
about me... well I guess to start it off I've always enjoyed math. There's not a lot to me I'm a simple girl who laughs a lot at the randomest of stuff. My hobbies are to read and write and walk my dogs. Also I'm in the poly band as a flute player. WOOT!!
